Pressing Instructions

1. Position Your Design
   Place the transfer in your desired location on the garment, making sure the surface is smooth and free of large wrinkles. If you’re working on hats or using a household iron, heat-resistant tape can help keep the transfer in place. With time and experience, you’ll get a feel for when it’s needed.
2. Press the Transfer
   Set your heat press to 290°F–310°F and apply medium to firm pressure for 13 seconds. It’s always a good idea to test on one garment first. Use a silicone upper platen cover and a garment protector to avoid direct contact between the heat and the fabric.
   While increasing heat, pressure, or pressing time won’t damage the transfer itself, it may scorch certain materials. If scorching occurs, first try lowering the pressure. If that doesn’t solve it, keep the lower pressure and reduce the heat by 10–15°F. With practice, you’ll dial in the best settings for each fabric type.
3. Peel
   Thanks to flexible peel technology, you can peel the film hot or cool. Simply wait a few seconds after pressing, then peel. If parts of the design don’t adhere, place the film back down and press again, increasing pressure and heat by 15°F if needed. Continue in small increments until the design fully adheres.
4. Final Press & Wash Care
   Unlike standard advice to press once, we highly recommend a final press after peeling for the best quality. Once the film is removed, cover the design with parchment paper or a single layer of t-shirt fabric and press for another 15 seconds.
   This extra step improves durability, softness, and reduces any shine. Prefer a glossy finish? Use a guard sheet for the second press instead.
   For long-lasting results, wash garments inside out in cold water and tumble dry on low or hang dry. While regular wash settings are generally fine, gentler care extends the life of the design.
